We were scheduled to play Team Chalk in the finals but were unable to field enough players on the date of the match. Chalk initially agreed to reschedule the match but changed their minds an hour after the agreement was made. The admin, McSkippy, was contacted and ruled that the match should be rescheduled since Chalk agreed to it. Unhappy with this decision, Chalk contacted the head admin Grunt. Unfortunately Grunt ruled in their favor, disregarding multiple SS's of conversations with Chalks leader agreeing to play the match on another night. This was the first time we’d played FLOT so we weren’t sure what to expect. I, personally, didn’t expect them to try and pull what I consider bull crap. They hosted with server settings on “modified” hard core and “3D spotting” on. With the well organized rules of TGL [sarcasm], they were able to get away with this, since the rules dont specify server settings. We lost Round 1 defense out of frustration, but were able to rally back and win the next 3 rounds and the match good games, I guess.
Round One of The TGL season kicked off for us tonight. We drew The Brazilians of Action Team. We’ve scrimmed action team many times, but had yet to face them in an official match before tonight. Map One- Atacama Desert Action Team chose to defend first. We successfully took the first objective without much of a fight and quickly moved on to the next. We managed to plant the bomb, only to have it diffused on our first attempt. Our second attempt, however, turned out to be the match winning plant, as we held them off and won the round. On defense, they were able to plant the first objective multiple times, but we were able to rally, get the diffuses, and eventually kill them down to zero tickets, winning the
Last night Team Nemesis defeated Crimson in a close match, 2-0. This match ends Season 1 of Squad Rush at the Total Gaming League. Nemesis finishes with a 5-3 record and is the number 3 seed heading into the playoffs.
